We Ought Not To Please Ourselves

How should you judge who is doing the right thing as a Christian, and who is doing the wrong thing? Paul teaches us that one criterion is whether or not a fellow Christian is putting a stumbling-block or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way. Do we see Christians around us falling into sin? Perhaps it’s because they’ve been observing us, and observing all the wrong things. Do we see unsaved loved ones trapped in a Hellbound life, and addicted to the sins of the flesh? Perhaps it is our weakness which has made them weak. We ought not to please ourselves. The world is watching.
